Rasa gurih dan pedas, porsi yang mengenyangkan, serta harga terjangkau membuat menu ini sering dijadikan pilihan utama saat lapar. Namun, di balik kenikmatannya, konsumsi ayam geprek terlalu sering ternyata menyimpan sejumlah risiko kesehatan yang patut diwaspadai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dikutip dari <em>Detikfood<\/em> (22\/6), menurut penjelasan ahli gizi Abraham Theodore, satu porsi ayam geprek seberat 150 gram mengandung sekitar 394 kalori, hampir 27 gram lemak, dan 690 miligram natrium. Angka tersebut cukup tinggi, apalagi jika dikombinasikan dengan nasi putih dalam porsi besar. Asupan berlebihan dapat memicu obesitas, hipertensi, dan penyakit kardiovaskular. Selain itu, proses penggorengan yang biasanya menggunakan minyak berulang, meningkatkan kadar lemak trans yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan jantung.Sambal pedas yang menjadi ciri khas ayam geprek juga dapat menimbulkan masalah pencernaan. Kandungan capsaicin pada cabai memang memberi sensasi nikmat, tetapi jika dikonsumsi berlebihan bisa menyebabkan maag, refluks asam, hingga diare. Bagi sebagian orang, tingkat kepedasan yang terlalu tinggi bahkan berpotensi merusak dinding lambung. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selain itu, penelitian oleh <em>BMC Public Health<\/em> tahun 2022 juga menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi makanan pedas yang lebih sering dan dengan tingkat kepedasan tinggi dikaitkan dengan profil risiko penyakit kardiovaskular (CVD) yang tidak menguntungkan, seperti indeks massa tubuh (BMI) lebih tinggi, tekanan darah meningkat, kadar trigliserida lebih tinggi, serta kadar HDL yang lebih rendah. Tempat yang kurang higienis dapat menyebabkan kontaminasi bakteri, termasuk pemicu tifoid. Lebih jauh lagi, konsumsi ayam olahan secara terus-menerus berhubungan dengan risiko resistensi antibiotik. Hal ini terjadi karena sebagian besar peternakan ayam menggunakan antibiotik untuk mencegah penyakit, dan residu obat tersebut bisa terbawa dalam daging yang kita santap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meski begitu, tidak dilarang sepenuhnya mengkonsumsi ayam geprek. Disarankan membatasi frekuensinya 2\u20133 kali seminggu serta menyeimbangkannya dengan makanan sehat lain seperti ikan, tahu, tempe, sayuran, dan buah.
